Body Surgery Scars
At 1 Cosmetic Group, we pride ourselves on being able to provide areola reconstruction, which is a highly specialised area of micro-pigmentation.
Our medical professionals utilise cutting-edge techniques acquired from extensive training; artistic experience and expert clinical knowledge to be able to create the illusion of a three-dimensional nipple using micro-pigmentation.
We aim to support individuals who have endured breast cancer, mastectomy, breast reconstruction or other surgeries. With the use of areola reconstruction, we aim to camouflage any scarring that may be present; improve the natural appearance of the breast and also restore and boost your confidence.
Reclaiming back your life and your confidence can be a difficult and sensitive process. To support you with this, at 1 Cosmetic Group, we strive to individually tailor your treatment to fit your needs and also to maximise safety, confidentiality, and comfort. Our practitioners offer a hands-on approach to ensure you are supported throughout your journey with us.
In what way medical micro-pigmentation techniques can be used?
Medical micro pigmentation can be applied in a wide range of techniques such as:
Scar Camouflage: this technique can help mask the appearance of scars, burns, or the repair of congenital disorders such as a cleft palate.
Reconstructive Camouflage: helps clients who have previously had a mastectomy to create an areola and nipple on the reconstructed breast. We aim to minimise any incision scars on the breast resulting from previous breast augmentation scars. We can also mask any scars appearing after breast reductions or breast lifts.
What is Micropigmentation?
In simple terms, micropigmentation is the process of depositing small coloured pigments into the dermal layer of the skin. This technique can be used as a medical tool to correct any discoloured or scarred skin following previous surgeries or accidents. This procedure is also safe for individuals who have had reconstructive surgery for breast cancer and can recreate the areola around the nipple.
Will it be painful?
The level of pain experienced during this procedure will be different for every individual. Depending on your tolerance of pain and the area being targeted, pain levels may vary. We aim to minimise any pain with the use of anaesthetic creams and using a fine small needle, which deposits the pigment into the skin at a very high speed.
Please note, that micro-pigmentation is a fast procedure, which allows you to return to your normal daily routine immediately after your treatment.
Who can have micro-pigmentation?
Any individual can undergo micro-pigmentation therapy. It can be beneficial for individuals who want to look their best at all times or people who want to correct parts of their skin imperfections.
The following are a list of people who might opt to have medical micro-pigmentation:
People who have skin imperfections following surgeries, disease or accidents
People who may have skin damage on cleft lip conditions
People who has breast reconstructive surgery and now require the recreation of the areola surrounding the nipple on the breast
Clients with Vitiligo or uneven pigmentation on their skin
People who suffer from alopecia (hair loss); micropigmentation can support hairline enhancement.
People who have surgical scars and want them masked or camouflaged by micropigmentation
In essence, we aim to please you with what you see and take our part in supporting you in building your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Scars can have a harmful impact on one's self esteem and leave you feeling not confident in yourself. While scar camouflage is not suitable for every scar, it is ideal for almost all white and silvery coloured scars. 1 Cosmetic Group treats a wide range of scars, including those related to medical and cosmetic surgery, self harming, alopecia, vitiligo, accidents and burns. Scar camouflage is suitable for all nationalities and skin types
Scar camouflage is suitable for patients who have:
Vitiligo camouflage can reduce the visibility of your Vitiligo-Scar with a 90% success rate. Due to the special pigments, the results tend to last over 15+ years.
Vitiligo pigmentation: multiple treatments are required to build the colour to completely match your skin colour. It takes about 4-5 weeks for the colour to completely settle and stabilize in your skin.
A visit is required every 6 weeks for more pigmentation until a minimum of 3-4 treatments has been performed on each treated area.
At every session, the colour is reviewed andthe practitoner makes necessary adjustments if needed to ensure that your colour matches your normal skin tone and looks natural.
